Covid-19 Shipping Information:

I am currently shipping out within the time frames listed on the collars.

Crystal Collars: 4-6 Weeks (sometimes sooner)

Biothane Collars: Usually within a Week but can be 2

Leather Collars and Nameplate Collars: 3-4 Weeks or sooner

Once collars are shipped it is possible there may be delays in delivery. Some collars were disappearing on tracking and showing up 2 weeks later. It seems like this has been fixed but I appreciate all understanding that shipping and delivery times are out of my control. So far none have actually been lost.

Why Leather?

Leather is a natural material that is the most comfortable option for your dog. Your dog's natural oils actually help soften and keep the leather strong over time. Leather is supple and moulds to the dog's neck for a superior fit. Other benefits to using a leather collar over the more common nylon option - maintains its appearance (doesn't get dirty and ugly), does not get that funky odor, and stays soft over time (no more crispiness!).

Why Biothane vs. Leather?

Biothane is the best option for dogs who are constantly in the water. While leather is water resistant and if it gets soaked can be oiled to prevent drying out, it is not recommend for consistent submerging. Especially if your dog has access to salt water! Biothane is a coated webbing with a soft rubber-like feel. It is made specifically to mimic leather.

What happens if the Leather gets wet?

Most of the time you won't need to worry about this! The leather used is Bridle leather which is tanned for the equine industry to be used in tack. Which means it is treated to withstand getting wet and sweaty. However, if your collar gets excessively wet it is advisable to use a good leather conditioner (or oil) to put moisture back into the leather. General leather care is also a good way to ensure your collar lasts for years, though in our experience the collars stay gorgeous with zero effort.

How are the Crystals attached?

The "small" and "medium" sized crystals are attached by a metal rim that goes through the leather and clamps on the bottom side. This makes them extremely durable and almost impossible to dislodge. The "Large" and "Rivoli" Crystals that sit inside a crystal rim are glued. The rim itself is riveted on to the leather.

What Size does my dog wear?

1. You can measure your dog’s current collar from the buckle to the hole that your dog wears it at or if it is a snap collar measure the whole collar to the middle of the buckle side with the prongs. 

2. You can use a measuring tape to measure the base of the neck (above the shoulders) where the collar will sit. For large dogs make sure you can stack two fingers between their neck and the measuring tape for a comfortable fit. For smaller dogs with ½” collars one finger space is adequate.

Sizing:
Collars are available in set sizes. Sizes are listed by punched holes, for example 7-9" means there are holes punched at 7", 7.5", 8", 8.5" and 9". Choose the size that has the middle 3 holes closest to your dog's neck size.

What is the Warranty?

Moxie Collars come with a lifetime guarantee. Each collar is made to last when cared for properly. All hardware and crystals are guaranteed. Should any hardware fail or a crystal come loose they will be replaced free of charge. This Warranty covers defects in material and craftsmanship. If the collar is damaged due to the dog's wear and tear we can make repairs based on a pre-negotiated fee. 

What is your Return and Exchange Policy?

Moxie Collars does not accept returns or exchanges on any collar unless there is a defect or error on Moxie Collars part. Please respect that Moxie Collar products are completely handmade from start to finish and each collar is made to order. This is how we are able to offer you the best quality hand made product on the market!

Please double check the size you order and make sure the width is suitable for your dog's size and breed. If you need any help determining the correct size for your dog please do not hesitate to ask. If you receive your collar and it does not fit but the size is as ordered we can provide a discount on a re-order of the same collar in a different size.
